Bihar smash 574/6 in Ranchi, Gani hits 32-ball ton

Bihar ripped up the List A record book in Ranchi on Wednesday, hammering a world-record 574/6 against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Plate Group. The total blew past Tamil Nadu’s previous mark of 506/2, set against the same opponents in 2022.

Skipper Sakibul Gani provided the late mayhem, racing to the “fastest Indian List A century” in 32 balls and finishing 128* off 40. Earlier, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi laid the platform with a “jaw-dropping” 190 off 84, featuring 15 sixes and 16 fours, while Ayush Loharuka added 116 off 56 as boundaries rained all day.
