Priandana grabs 5 in an over, makes T20I history

Indonesia pacer Gede Priandana produced a once-in-a-generation spell in Bali on Tuesday, becoming the first bowler to take five wickets in a single over in a men’s T20I during the series opener against Cambodia. Times of India reported that “history was made in Bali” as Priandana struck five times in Cambodia’s 16th over of a 168 chase, leaving the visitors “already under pressure” at 106/5.

He removed three batters in the first three balls for a hat-trick, paused only for a dot ball, then cleaned up the last two wickets to end the innings—Cambodia managing just one run, a wide, as Indonesia sealed a 60-run win.

The mark goes beyond famous four-in-an-over bursts by Lasith Malinga, Rashid Khan, Curtis Campher and Jason Holder, with TOI noting the feat “remains unmatched across both men’s and women’s international cricket.”
